Visit the Stelvio National Park

The pleasure of going to see nature where it is most beautiful

From Bormio, it will be possible to organise manu excursions that wind through the magnificent surrounding valleys, reachable in a few minutes by car directly from the 4-star Hotel Baita dei Pini.

Besides your level of training, it will be easy to find the itinerary that most suits your needs, in the wide range of paths in this immense outdoor playground.

Sign-posted and classified paths

The paths are classified according to their levels of difficulty:

  • Tourist paths (T)
These are sign-posted along cart roads, mule tracks or clearly marked paths, without any difficulties, close to residential areas or road networks.
  • Excursion paths (E)
These paths are on mule tracks or access roads to shelters or connection routes between valleys that do not have any technical difficulties.
  • Expert excursion paths (EE)
These are average and high-mountain routes, some of which are fully-equipped (with rope or chain handrails); these require a good familiarity with the mountain and must be tackled with adequate equipment.

Among the most beautiful valleys where you can organise excursions, inside the Stelvio National Park, it is important to recall the Forni Valley, Fraele Valley, Zebrù Valley, Réit Valley, Rezzalo Valley, itineraries through the Gavia Pass, the Stelvio Pass and Camune Valleys.

On these pleasant walks, by looking up to the sky, you will be able to see the profile of the golden eagle, the symbol of the park, or the majestic bearded vulture, with its enormous, unmistakable contour.
